who we are:Event Planning Midland, TX
Two Gals that Love to Create and Coordinate
Socially Significant Events is more than an event planning company. It is who we are and we love what we do! Susan and Lyneia both grew up in Midland, one a proud Midland High Bulldog and the other a mighty Lee High Rebel. As a result, we have developed many personal and professional relationships in the Permian Basin.
With Lyneia’s eye for creative design, Susan’s attention to detail and their combined need for perfection and fun, what better gals to partner up to form an event coordination business? We are both proud of our community and have experience planning several nonprofit events including Midland Project Graduation and St. Ann’s Mardi Gras, and Church Under the Bridge not to mention the numerous dinner parties, showers, fundraisers, and corporate events that we have been a part of.
As mothers of 7 boys collectively, we know how to manage a small army and how precious and valuable time is. Now that our sons are growing up and heading off to college, we find ourselves wanting to give our time to help others. Our mission is to coordinate and manage all the moving pieces of your event saving you time and money.
Susan has been married for 27 years and is the mother of 4 wonderful sons. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University and worked as a special education teacher and educational diagnostician for many years. She has a heart for children and youth in the community especially those that are at risk. She has volunteered for many organizations including PTA, Midland Project Graduation, Meals on Wheels, Rebel football, soccer and golf booster clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Special Olympics. In her time off, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, golfing, hiking, exercising, reading and bible study.
Lyneia has been married for 23 years and has 3 handsome boys. She was in bank operations for 12 years and managed a branch division of Midland American Bank for 7 of those 12 years. She worked for St. Ann’s Catholic School for several years as their bookkeeper. She has volunteered for many organizations including St. Ann’s PTO board, fair booth chairman, Mardi Gras fundraising board, MISD Communications and Evaluation committee, Midland Project Graduation, Rebel football, soccer and golf booster boards. In her time off, she enjoys exercising, reading, boating, skiing, music, and spending time with friends and family.
